The Story故事
The Three Kings Monument honors the three rulers closely connected with the founding of Chiang Mai: King Mangrai of Lanna, King Ngam Muang of Phayao, and King Ramkhamhaeng of Sukhothai.
Historical records describe the three rulers consulting together on the location and planning of the new city. Chiang Mai was established in 1296 and became the political and cultural heart of the Lanna Kingdom.
Today, the monument remains one of the city’s most recognizable symbols and an important gathering place for local ceremonies and cultural events.
三王纪念碑纪念三位与清迈建城密切相关的君王：兰纳王国的孟莱王、帕尧的昂孟王，以及素可泰的兰甘亨王。
史料记载，三位君王曾共同商议新城的选址与规划。清迈于1296年建立，后来成为兰纳王国重要的政治与文化中心。
